MAN & VAN — RICHMOND
Man and Van & Removals in Richmond upon Thames
Richmond is one of the more delicate areas we work in, think Georgian terraces near Richmond Green, period conversions along the hill, and riverside apartment blocks close to Richmond Bridge and the towpath. Original sash windows, narrow stairwells and listed building features are common, so our crews go carefully and pack accordingly rather than rushing furniture through doorways it wasn't built for.
Richmond station's mainline and District line services mean a lot of moves here are chain-dependent commuter relocations, in or out on a tight schedule. Richmond Park and Old Deer Park also mean some of our routes take detours around closed roads on event days, so we check for those before we set a collection time.
Removal Services in Richmond
Given how many Georgian and Victorian conversions there are around Richmond Hill and the Vineyard, our house removals here focus on protecting original features, banisters, fireplaces, cornicing, as much as the furniture itself. For the riverside flats and newer developments nearer the station, our man and van service handles quicker, lighter moves, and our storage option is popular with people bridging a chain or relocating for work along the District line.
FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
Our building near Richmond Green is Georgian with original features, will your team be careful with it?
Yes, this is a big part of our work in Richmond. We use furniture pads and door protection as standard on period properties and brief the crew on any listed features or narrow original doorways before we start.
Is parking near Richmond Bridge or the town centre realistic on a weekday?
It's tight, especially near the river and Richmond station during commuter hours. We'll check your street in advance and, where the residents' parking scheme applies, sort a visitor permit or suspension so the van isn't left waiting.
How far will you travel for moves out of Richmond, say to Twickenham or Kingston?
We cover all of west and southwest London from Richmond, so moves to Twickenham, Kingston or further out are straightforward, we just build the extra distance into your quote upfront.
